Ron Williams ~ Program Director
Ron Williams joined Red Lodge in November of 2024 as an independent contractor and is now a full-time Program Director. He is leading the launch of a Men’s Transition Center, set to be fully operational in July of 2025. Ron is an addiction recovery advocate and political organizer. His work in recovery advocacy began in 1999 as a co-founder of the Portland-based Recovery Association Project.
Ron holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Portland State University and is a founding member of the National Recovery Movement and co-founder of the Washington DC based Faces and Voices of Recovery; a first of its kind national recovery advocacy organization dedicated to reducing stigma and eliminating discrimination in housing, employment, education, and financial opportunities for people with substance use.
Ron has served on numerous national and local boards, including the Alliance for a Just Society, Industrial Areas Foundation, US Action, ELCA Congregational Organizing Team, and Faces and Voices of Recovery.
With his extensive background in community advocacy, Ron looks forward to working with Red Lodge to expand services and help folks make positive, meaningful, and successful transitions back into the community.
